Jesse (Robert, “The Traveller”) Hill – candidate for Pierce County Sheriff – emailed The Melon at 12:11PM today with an invite for an open house at the “new office” of the Elect Jessie Hill for Sheriff of Pierce County 2008 campaign. This “open house”, which begins at 1:00PM today and ends at 3:00PM today is apparently happening at “the first floor of the building located at 7030 Tacoma Mall Boulevard (South). It is on the west side of I-5, next to the Vern Fonk Insurance building.”
Mr. Hill says that “Volunteers will be present to help put out a mailing to new voters in the 27th Legislative District.”
Mr. Hill also included a PDF press release in his email invite which reads as follows:
In the “Battle of the Mailboxes”, candidate Jesse Hill has now prevailed.
(UNIVERSITY PLACE) This year there are three candidates for Pierce County Sheriff, a non-partisan Ranked-Choice Voting office. The following chart shows the new logistical matrix of the race. While the incumbent (Pastor, Paul) utilizes a mailbox in a business owned by Barbara McPherson, at the S.W. Block of 19th & Mildred, Jesse’s account there is more than ten years established. Furthermore, Jesse has two mailboxes. And furthermore, Jesse not only has one physical space office, but two. And furthermore Jesse has seven utilized phone numbers. And three distinct emails. The public is invited tomorrow, to 7030 Tacoma Mall Blvd, on Sat. Sept.27 from 1-3pm to the new work area.

Why 7 phones you ask? Simple, so he can harass/stalk 7 people all at the same time. This dude is SUCH a moron. Problem with this Gilligan is, he’s escalating! Not a good thing.

@MrsHill, Do you have any evidence that any of what you said is the case. Granted Hill is eccentric, but has he really harassed/stalked people? Is it moronic to stand for what you believe in?

Hey, I was looking at the requirements for the sheriff position as proposed in the Charter Amendment 1: http://www.southsoundpromotions.com/IVoteYesOnOne/sheriff-requirements.htm
I am wondering, is Jesse wasting his time? Does he really have all those qualifications? Or are they not actually requiring those.
Example: Minimum bachelor’s in criminal justice, forensic science, or related field.

@Jeff, It would seem you’re absolutely right. To my knowledge Mr. Hill does not meet those qualifications, but it would seem those are being waved for some reason. I’ll try to look more into this.

i work for mister hill……yes he is different but he does have alot of good ideas. and for a convicted felon to do so good in the race for sherrif is an amazing thing
