Joe Biden to appear at Cheney Stadium on Sunday


225px-joe_biden_official_photo_portrait_2-croppedThe Melon has just received word that Democratic Vice-Presidential Nominee Joe Biden will be appearing at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma on Sunday at 2pm.  Rumor has it, he’s planning on coming to support the Gregoire campaign.

Okay, we have confirmation from the Democratic party and the Seattle PI that Sen. Biden will be at Cheney Stadium on Sunday. A Press Release is expected within the hour.

Update 3:12pm: The News Tribune formerly known as Tacoma has posted some info.

Biden will also be appearing in Seattle for Obama.

The Obama Campaign for Change is pleased to announce that Vice Presidential Nominee Senator Joe Biden will be in Tacoma this coming Sunday for a rally and a Get Out the Vote event to help ensure that Washington State does its part in helping create the change we need in this country.


He will be coming to Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, 2502 S Tyler St on Sunday October 19. Doors will open at 12PM. The event is free and open to the public, but a ticket will be required and we request that you RSVP to the Tacoma Campaign for Change office at 253-683-4187 to reserve a ticket.


If you are interested in volunteering that day to staff the event, please email Dustin Lambro, Regional Field Director for the Campaign for Change, at Volunteer call time is 10AM, and we will need your help until 5PM.

    I would keep him in Penn and Ohio personally. The race for the white house isn’t finished and I doubt he can do much for Gregoire except raise money

    Obama needs to show some love here, and let the ground game do its work in east. If Obama came out here, and pitched some ground love, or green he could directly influence two to three key elections.

    Obama or Biden really should be cutting ads for some of the tighter races in safe states for people like Burner and Gregoire. It will be shameful if Gregoire looses to Rossi, and Obama wins this state by a large margin. The same goes for the senate race in Oregon.
