Snake Oil and Poetry

by Jack Faust

On May 21st, 2009, The Melon received an email offering a suggestion to interview Mick Quinn, a self-identified “spiritual author” and former Wall-Street CEO. Below is that email and Jack Faust’s response.

Dear The Melon Online,

My name is Debora Prieto and I am the wife of the Irish/American author of The Uncommon Path of Awakening Authentic Joy by O-Books UK/USA due for
release this summer. Finding peace and real joy in our lives is something that everyone seeks to find, and has been sought after by billions of people, world-wide, for centuries.  We believe your audience would be very interested in learning about this new book, and what it has to offer, and we would be grateful if you could consider interviewing Mr. Quinn for Your Radio Program.

From the Publisher:

Through his simple yet profound message in The Uncommon Path,
Irish-born author Mick Quinn offers a compelling guide to uncovering
and growing beyond concealed conditioning on the road to awakening
our full potential.

Clearly exposing the kaleidoscope of metaphysical distractions
orchestrated by the unhealthy-ego that keep us well clear of an
authentic path, Quinn directly points us toward our next levels
of individual and cultural development.

Each chapter of The Uncommon Path includes Evolutionary Pointers
that distil its core concepts into a sentence or two that can easily be
practiced throughout the day. Real-Life Examples appear throughout
the book and guide the practitioners to integrate the wisdom of Quinn’s
message into their careers, relationships and everyday lives. Regardless
of their cultural background, belief system, or current spiritual practice,
readers will find that this book is full of fascinating insights and many
Aha! moments.

Currently residing in Utah, this Irish-born author former serial entrepreneur, the founder and CEO of several multimillion-dollar companies, is quoted regularly in many publications, including CNN Living, The Washington Times and The Wall Street Journal.  He chose to give up his American Dream lifestyle in 2001, after an awakening in August of the same year and the events of 9/11, while he had an office in tower number 2, and studied Buddhism, Christianity, and the evolution of consciousness – all in search of discovering and expressing his eternal motives. His work is touching the hearts, minds and spirits of all who come in contact with its direct yet gentle message.  Take time to visit this insightful author’s website at www.theuncommonpath.com.

Thank you so much and I appreciate your time!
